Website always be on agenda
WordPress website will help you for business, It will provide valuable content and optimized text for your web page. You’ll also need to continuously drive traffic back to your site through social media marketing, print advertising, digital ads, direct mail, whatever suites your business.
A website can be a big investment for a small business, so don’t be fooled into thinking that once it’s live the work is done. Rather than viewing your website as a static entity, see it as an evolving marketing tool – make it work for you. With a little TLC every now and again, your website will continue to work effectively and make the most of your investment.
Here are reasons why your website should always be on the agenda:
Stay secure. WordPress, theme and plugin updates become available several times a month with bug and security fixes. Ignoring these could leave you vulnerable to hackers (who are becoming more sophisticated by the day). Worst case scenario – you’ll need to fork out for a rebuild or a lengthy (=costly) cleanse of both site and database.
First impressions count. Ask yourself this – if your events page is showing 2012, or your Christmas message is still taking pride of place in May, what impression will this leave on a potential customer? A current site with up-to-date information portrays a proactive, evolving business on top of its game.
Give them something to look at. By ‘them’ we mean your potential customers AND the search engines. Generating new and relevant content will encourage Google to crawl and re-rank your site. Without new content, your site will simply remain sedentary. A great way to generate content is to gather intelligence on popular search terms and buyer behaviour and use this to shape your content strategy. Find out what people are looking for and present it to them with meaningful and well-written blog posts and news articles.
Stay competitive. If you’re not working on your site as a valuable tool for your business – there will be a competitor out there who is….
The competitor to be feared is one who never bothers about you at all, but goes on making his own business better all the time. Henry Ford
