Faiz Ahmed Faiz (Old Karachi Memories)
Faiz was not only a great poet but also an educator, administrator, on his return from London in 1964, he rose to the position of principal at Abdullah Haroon College, Karachi. He remained principal for eight years, until 1972. In 1972, when the government took over all the educational institutions in national custody, Faiz Ahmed did not consider it acceptable to take up public service and retired from the college's principalship. Faiz Sahib started his career as a teacher from MAO College Amritsar in 1935.
